Mapping Connectors Across Dense Notes

Test AuthorSeptember 13, 20253 min read

Welcome to the stress test page This is sidenote number 1; it should appear in the Notes panel and link from the inline reference.. The goal here is to generate a lot of sidenotes and ensure the connectors behave both from inline -> sidebar and sidebar -> inline.

Section One

This paragraph includes multiple sidenotes to test vertical spacing Second sidenote, testing short text. and ensure everything links correctly Third sidenote, slightly longer to wrap across a couple of lines in the rail for visual inspection. without layout shifts.

Another line with references Fourth sidenote, located close to the previous ones. to evaluate density Fifth sidenote. and hover behavior.

Section Two

Now we separate content with more body copy and sprinkled sidenotes Sixth sidenote; check connector path when inline is far from the rail note.. The copy continues to create scrollable content, so you can observe the hero pixelation finish and the article begin below it.

Longer block of text to push layout a bit further. Sidenotes appear throughout Seventh sidenote. and should still map to the correct entries in the rail Eighth sidenote, verifying mapping to the right section..

Section Three

Edge cases matter: placing two references adjacent Ninth sidenote near another. Tenth sidenote immediately adjacent. should still create distinct connectors and targets.

More spacing with filler text so we can hover and keyboard-navigate the rail items Eleventh sidenote for keyboard focus testing.. Try tabbing through the rail list to see reverse connectors.

Final Section

Wrapping up with a few more references Twelfth sidenote. to ensure the end of the page behaves as expected Thirteenth sidenote with slightly longer copy to check wrapping and height.. Thanks for testing Fourteenth sidenote, nearing the end. and verifying everything works Fifteenth sidenote. All done!.
